DJF Appraisal Services, LLC is an independent, full-service jewelry and watch appraisal consultancy, providing Insurance, Fair Market Value, and Estate appraisals, as well as gem identification and verification. We serve private and trade clients, offer while-you-wait services, and can host appraisal events at your retail store, insurance office, or special event.

Founded in 1981, the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) states as its purpose, "to recognize, and make available, the services of highly qualified, informed, experienced, independent, and professional appraisers of gems and jewelry to those members of the public requiring such expertise." It is the only appraisal association in the United States devoted solely to the appraisal of gems and jewelry and silver flatware and holloware.
GEMOLOGICAL INSTITUTE OF AMERICA - GRADUATE GEMOLOGIST
The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) was founded in 1931 with the mission "to protect all buyers and sellers of gemstones by setting and maintaining the standards used to evaluate gem quality." GIA developed the International Diamond Grading System and the "Four C's," now the industry's standard for diamond quality evaluation.
ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT JEWELLERY VALUERS - MEMBER
The AIJV has a worldwide membership of truly independent jewelry valuers and appraisers. Members abide by a strictly enforced Code of Ethics regarding integrity, conduct, professionalism, and independence. A truly independent valuer does not buy, sell or broker jewelry items, accept referral commissions from retailers, insurance companies or any other agencies, and is not owned by a jeweler,insurance company, or any other industry related agency.
ASSOCIATION FOR THE STUDY OF JEWELRY AND RELATED ARTS - MEMBER
The ASJRA is an organization dedicated to the advancement of jewelry studies and committed to the dissemination of knowledge to anyone who is interested in the history of jewelry. ASJRA takes a broad approach, seeking to understand and place jewelry within a variety of contexts - including the ancient past to present day, the decorative arts, and fashion.
