Deborah J. Finleon, GIA GG, CMA (NAJA)

About Me

I am a GIA Graduate Gemologist and Certified Master Appraiser (NAJA), based in the Washington DC Metro area.  I have over twenty years of experience in the jewelry industry ranging from design to retail to appraisal, and am dedicated to providing expert appraisal services while strictly adhering to the highest professional and ethical standards.

In addition to my appraisal practice, I served as inaugural Chair of Education for the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers for eight years.  I continue to assist with the administration of NAJA's online Appraisal Studies Course as Director of Curriculum & Instruction, teaching appraisal theory and methodology, jewelry history, and the specifics of gemstone and jewelry appraising.

Your Visit

Call today to discover how we can best serve you, whether you're seeking a simple insurance report, a full estate appraisal for tax settlement, or a sort through Grandmother's jewelry box.  We will set up a private appointment at our secure premises to complete the process.  Most reports can be provided at the time of the appointment.

You are welcome to stay for the examination of your jewelry, which will be completed while you watch, or you may drop off your items and pick them up at your convenience, along with the completed report. Regardless, your jewelry will be secured at all times and is fully insured when in our possession.

Please call for further details.  703-994-9001

Note: Due to ongoing COVID-19 and seasonal flu concerns, we follow all CDC and Commonwealth of Virginia guidelines as closely as possible within our small office space.  Physical acrylic barriers and extra ventilation have been put into place.  While masks are not required at this time, we reserve the right to ask clients to wear a mask without prior notice, even if guidance does not mandate it on the date of your appointment.
